As PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2011 Continues Growing, PMMI Anticipates Its Largest Las Vegas Show Ever

According to PMMI, PACK EXPO 2011 is “still growing and is poised to break all records.” This year the show will have over 1,600 exhibitors with over 25, 000 attendees. Some topics that will be covered include food safety and the Food Safety Modernization Act, sustainability and project management. There will also be presentations from well-known consumer goods such as Coco-Cola, Estee Lauder Cosmetics Ltd., General Mills, Kellogg Company, Land O’Lakes, Inc. and Ocean Spray Cranberry Inc.

Consumer Retail Experience to Debut at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2011

PACK EXPO continues to stand out from other shows with its debut of the Consumer Retail Experience. Created by Clemson University and Sponsored by Kodak, the Consumer Retail Experience tracks “what participants look at or were persuaded by as they walk through a simulated retail environment against what they purchase” with a digital tracking technology. Clemson University will release one report analyzing the “impact of sustainability messaging” and another report measuring the “appeal of private label packaging versus name brand packaging” after the show.

Innovation Stage Program to Link PACK EXPO Las Vegas Attendees to New Packaging and Processing Technologies

PACK EXPO will also debut the Innovation Stage Program. Composed of three seminars in industry-specific lounges, the program enables professionals in the confectionery, pharmaceutical, and baking and snack industries to “easily discover packing and processing innovations.” Additionally, each lounge will contain an”’Ask the Expert’” forum that enables attendees to get guidance from experts on specific packing and processing related challenges.”

Just Announced: General Colin L. Powell, USA (RET.) will be the Keynote Speaker at the 2011 PACK EXPO Las Vegas Show

In March, PMMI announced that former Secretary of Stated and retired General Colin L. Powell will be the keynote speaker at PACK EXPO 2011. “’When we were considering who we wanted to invite to speak at our PACK EXPO Leadership Lecture, Colin Powell was the first name on our list,’” says Charles D. Yuska, president and CEO of PMMI.

Vendors also show excitement for the approach of PACK EXPO 2011.

In the Booth: Scholle Packaging at Pack Expo 2011 

Scholle Packaging is ready to participate in PACK EXPO 2011. In its booth, Scholle will feature the Scholle SureFill High-Acid, its “bag-in-box packaging solution for institutional beverage markets.” It also plans to introduce “KeyKeg, the revolutionary one-way keg.”

CAPS to Promote Reusable Shipping Containers at PACK EXPO 2011 

CAPS, North America’s leading provider of container rental and asset tracking solutions to food, beverage, cosmetic and several other industries, will be attending PACK EXPO 2011 for its 2nd consecutive year. Filmatic at Pack Expo 2011

Packaging Outlook Summit

Following PACK EXPO 2011 is the Packaging Outlook Summit in November. The conference will “capture many of the trends, issues and approaches on the leading edge of packaging and consumer markets that it serves” with “key influencers and distillers of these trends” sharing their vision of what is to come in packaging within the next couple of years. One of these observers is no other then Marc Drucker, president and founder of Newlogic.
